Hangover Cures

Let’s face it, we likely had a few too many champagne cocktails last night. Though I always like to promote responsible drinking, sometimes, those drinks just hit us and we wake up feeling like a brick hit us. So, before you grab that remote and watch re-runs of Keeping up with the Kardashians, you’ll want some of these tried and true hangover cures.

HYDRATE!

1) tall glass of water with a heaping teaspoon of pink Himalayan sea salt

2) Coconut Water — Coconut water is a great way to hydrate your body naturally.

Club soda, gatorade would work well too. just hydrate.

REPLENISH LOST ELECTROLYTES

3) Bloody Mary -ideally a non-alcoholic one – . good because of the salt in the drink with helps restore electrolytes – Bonus! rim the glass with sea salt to help restore the lost electrolytes.

4) Pickles/Pickle Juice – the salt and vinegar in pickles causes your body to store water and restore the electrolytes lost from drinking

EAT!

5) STARCHY FOODS – Considered to be good because they’re easy to digest and can raise your blood sugar levels.

6) Ginger – settles the stomach

SWEAT IT OUT

While running or working out is the last thing you want to do, it could help flush out all the toxins. A steam room works too!

SLEEP IT OFF

Worse case scenario, grab a blanket, the remote, and water and sleep if off. (if you have the luxury of doing that)
