Last night, The New Yorker published a heart-warming praise of eggnog by Carmen Maria Machado in which she proposes that one should not be offended by it’s caloric count, but that it’s “full-bodied embrace” makes it the perfect drink to close out 2017 (it’s certainly been a dizzying year). I couldn’t agree with Carmen more! Below, I’ve broken down some delicious eggnog recipes into two groups: drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic), as well as some delicious eggnog-heavy baked goods. Please do not be deterred if you’re lactose intolerant (like me), or vegan, because I’ve included delicious recipes for both, and I’d highly recommend experimenting with either for baking if you’re inclined.
