8 DIY Face Masks Using Kitchen Ingredients

Have some time to kill this Labor Day and want to refresh before the busy work week? Try a DIY face mask! They are quite a bit cheaper than many conventional masks and it’s fun to play kitchen facialist sometimes. If you’re concerned about whether it’s safe to put kitchen ingredients on your face, well that’s actually a good question I’ve been wondering about as well. Thankfully, Allure did a great piece on the issue giving DIY masks the thumbs up as long as you realize that these kitchen based ingredients are not going to give you lifting or tightening results like higher end treatments. However, softer skin and tighter pores are definitely still in the cards! The face masks we’ve selected below are some of the best we could find, most of which have the stamp of approval of top beauty editors (Into The Gloss) and/or models (Miranda Kerr), so you know these recipes are no joke.
