10 Delicious Slow Cooker Recipes to Make Throughout Fall and Winter

Over the weekend, while visiting my Jewish-Moroccan family in LA, I ate some mouth-watering cholent (also called skhina in Arabic), made by my very talented aunt Racheli. If you haven’t heard of it, It’s a delicious stew eaten traditionally on Shabbat, and is a combination of potatoes, beef, chicken, beans, barley, eggs, and spices slow cooked over 12-16 hours. Enjoying this delicious cholent with my family got me thinking about slow cooker recipes which are not only ideal for colder months, but are perfect for easy dinners to make throughout the work week. Depending on the recipe, you can usually throw the ingredients in your crock-pot in the morning, and by dinnertime you’ll have a delicious meal ready to eat and only one pot to clean. Cooking doesn’t get much more convenient than that.
